In the Media: Women Off-road Warriors Podcast - From the Trail to the Mic

5/19/2025

We had the honor of sitting down with April, Lily and Chrissy on the Women Off-Road Warriors Podcast — and it was such a blast! If you’ve ever wanted a peek behind the scenes of Team Jess² reRouting and our journey toward the 2025 Rebelle Rally, this episode is your front-row seat.

From snowy slopes to Jeep upgrades and a shared obsession with giant tires, the conversation flowed like a good trail ride — full of grit, laughter, and real talk.

Meet Our Third Teammate: The Jeep

Every team needs a solid third teammate. Ours just happens to have four wheels, a winch, and some serious attitude.

Jessi’s Jeep is far more than Rebelle-ready — she’s a rock crawler at heart and built to conquer just about anything. Though we won’t be making any big modifications for the 2025 rally (she’s already dialed in), we do need to switch out her 40s for 37s to meet Rebelle regulations. And yes, that hurts our big-tire-loving hearts a little, but rules are rules!

This Jeep started life as a Rubicon, but not much of the original is left. She’s been outfitted with upgraded axles, coilovers, control arms, a HAM radio, and even a rally-specific TerraTrip odometer — all battle-tested in previous rallies.

The Why Behind the Wheel

We also dove into why we do this — what makes us chase the dust, the maps, and the challenge.

For Jess (navigator), the Rebelle Rally lit a fire that had been simmering for years. With a love for competition, adventure, and endurance challenges, the 2023 rally became her proving ground. Teaming up with a fellow rookie, Jess placed 4th among the rookies — a feat considering they had just six months to prepare and lived in different parts of California!

Now, Jess is back — this time with a partner who shares her passion, experience, and love for pushing boundaries. Together, we’ve got 56 years of combined experience in off-roading, camping, and overlanding. And with the 2025 rally on the horizon, we’re hungry for more.

Real Talk, Real Grit

It wasn’t all Jeep mods and Rebelle logistics. We also shared what we’d been up to that weekend — from snowboarding adventures to installing radios with our kids. Because behind every rally competitor is a real woman balancing life, family, and a full calendar of trail days.

We’re grateful to Women Off-Road Warriors for the chance to share our story, and we hope it inspires others to find their road — or reroute it entirely.
