The Jack That Brought Us Together

First Real Moments in the Wild

We’d crossed paths before, just a quick meetup in SoCal where I chatted briefly with Jessi and her teammate, but it was nothing deep. Then came the 2023 Rebelle Rally, when we found ourselves on opposite sides of the competition line. That first real interaction? It came in the form of a flat tire and a shared solution.

Flat Tire, Full Circle

My 2023 teammate and I were in great spirits after a solid day of navigating. The terrain outside of Mammoth was wide open, big skies, low shrubs, and that high desert light that makes everything feel golden. Since it was a points-free day, we had the luxury of cruising toward the final checkpoint without pressure or score on the line. That’s when we saw the bright green Jeep pulled off to the side of the trail, Jessi and her teammate needing a hand.

She waved us down with a calm urgency. Her front passenger tire was flat, and her jack was giving her trouble. We were more than happy to help and were honestly proud to offer our Pro Eagle jack. They had sponsored us, and I’ve trusted their gear since 2017, but this was one of those rare field moments where I got to really put it to use.

My teammate quickly unloaded the jack. She was significantly stronger than I, and while I can handle it, she made it look easy (gotta love having a powerhouse on your team!). I secured the setup with the Pro Eagle Jack Lock, and Jessi wasted no time getting the flat off and the fresh tire on. The whole process was quick, efficient, and a great example of how women supporting each other out in the field can make magic happen. Less than 30 minutes later, we were all back on the trail and rolling strong.

Having that jack in our kit didn’t just solve the problem; it allowed us to be the right kind of backup at the right moment. And that felt pretty incredible.

A Partnership Reinforced

Looking back, that moment was more than a pit stop. It was a reminder of what the Rebelle Rally is all about: resourcefulness, camaraderie, and stepping up when it counts. That quick tire change sparked a connection, and I’m so excited to say it’s one that’s grown beyond the trail.

This year, I’m incredibly grateful to Chuck, the generous and all-around awesome owner of Pro Eagle, for continuing to support our efforts—this time by donating one of their legendary 2 Ton Big Wheel Off Road Jacks – “BEAST” as part of our August 9th event raffle. Outfitted with BFGoodrich KM3 tires, it’s their most rugged and advanced model yet—and someone’s going to be very lucky to take it home!

Toyota Heart, Jeep Hands

Funny thing is, even though I’ve been hauling a Pro Eagle jack on every trip since 2017, I’ve never had to use it on my own rig out on the trail (🤞)—which, let’s be honest, is partly thanks to Toyota’s well-earned reputation for reliability. Aside from the usual garage work on my 4Runner, most of its action has come from helping out Jeeps in the field. And I say that with love—my husband has a Jeep, my dad has two, and now Jessi and I are competing in one! There’s always that friendly Toyota-vs-Jeep banter, but I’ll admit it: I’ve got a soft spot for those capable crawlers. Just make sure they’ve got a Pro Eagle jack on board, alright? 😉
